Description

Running on Intel's Intel Core 2 Duo 1.50Ghz L7400 64bit Processor, the M230 is a laptop computer that endures the standards set by the military for extreme use. The M230 provides all you would expect of a commercially available laptop computer; with a powerful processor, low power consumption, large storage capacity, lightweight design, and ease-of-use. In addition, the M230 features a versatile Bay 1 and removable HDD bay design. The M230's Bay 1 can accommodate an optical drive, or a second battery.

Improving on an already rugged computer system, the M230 surpasses other industry leading laptops by surviving the IP65 standard, which translates to the ultimate in dust and water resistance because the M230 can handle dust and water jet spray from any directions. It also has options for -20°C low temperature performance, MIL-STD-461F EMI performance or explosive atmosphere performance.

Going beyond rugged, the M230 is a powerful notebook computer. It features a large, bright 14.1" TFT XGA or 15” SXGA+ display LCD screen with 128MB of shared RAM (a dedicated 512MB option is available) that provides vibrant images whether indoors or outdoors. For direct sunlight applications, an optional outdoor viewable display and A/R reflective coating is available. A touch screen option is also available to the on-the-go/in-vehicle users. The main battery powers the M230N2 for up to 4 hours of full-out use. The optional second battery adds two more hours, but the optional vehicle mount lets the unit recharge and function continuously.
